Nate Forester was born in New York in the late 1990’s. He lived with his parents in a one bedroom apartment on 54th Street until they moved two years later to Harrington, New Hampshire. Twenty-six now, again living in New York, he will often recall a June day fourteen years before when he began to comprehend that the adult world was not what it seemed, that his parents were a mystery to him. Over the course of the novel Nate’s relationships help him resolve questions about the past, and help him regain trust in those he loves.
